Which Size to Pick
- 4 and 5 mm. A dense grid for math, charts and small handwriting. At 5 mm an A4 sheet holds 36 x 54 squares.
- 6 to 8 mm. Room for larger handwriting, schoolwork and quick sketches.
- 10 mm. Every square is one square centimeter, which makes area exercises, floor plans and pixel art easy to count.
- 11 and 12 mm. Big squares for young children and for drawing with markers.
There are no inch sizes here. A quarter inch is 6.35 mm, so the 6 mm file is the closest, but it is not the same grid.
What Is on the Sheet
Thin gray lines, 0.35 pt wide, start at the top left corner of a 0.5 in (12.7 mm) margin. A page is not a whole number of squares, so the last column and row can be narrower than the rest.
