Print a Poster on Multiple Pages
Split one picture over 2 to 25 sheets of A4 or Letter paper, with overlap for gluing, crop marks and sheet numbers. Print, trim and tape the sheets into one poster. Free, in your browser.

How It Works
Choose a picture
A photo or any JPEG, PNG or WebP image. The bigger the picture, the sharper the poster.
Set the grid
Pick how many sheets go across and down. The preview shows each sheet and the final size in centimeters and inches.
Print and assemble
Create the PDF and print it at 100 percent scale. Sheets that would stay empty are left out.
Poster Size by Grid
| Grid | Sheets | On A4 | On Letter |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2x2 | 4 | 37.8 x 55.2 | 39 x 51.7 |
| 2x3 | 6 | 37.8 x 82.3 | 39 x 77 |
| 3x3 | 9 | 56.2 x 82.3 | 58 x 77 |
| 3x4 | 12 | 56.2 x 109.4 | 58 x 102.4 |
| 4x4 | 16 | 74.6 x 109.4 | 77 x 102.4 |
| 5x5 | 25 | 93 x 136.5 | 95.9 x 127.7 |
Calculated by this tool: 8 mm margin on every sheet, 10 mm overlap. The picture keeps its proportions, so one side usually comes out shorter.
Putting the Poster Together
- Lay the sheets out by their numbers: the first number is the row, the second the column, so 1-1 is the top left.
- On every sheet except those in the first column, cut off the left margin along the crop marks. On every sheet except the first row, cut off the top margin.
- Lay each trimmed sheet over its neighbor so its edge meets the dashed line. That strip is the overlap, and it hides small differences between sheets.
- Tape or glue from the back, one row at a time, then join the rows.
Print every sheet at 100 percent, also called Actual size. Fit to page shrinks each sheet a little and the marks stop lining up.
How Sharp Will It Be
The tool never makes up pixels: the picture is spread over the whole poster as it is. A 12 megapixel phone photo is 4032 pixels wide. Over a 3x3 poster on A4 that gives about 137 dots per inch, which looks fine from a step away. On 5x5 it drops to about 83, so details look soft up close. For a poster you will see from a distance, that is usually enough.

Questions
Is my picture uploaded
No. The picture is read by your browser and the PDF is made on your device.
Why are there fewer sheets than in my grid
When the picture is narrower or wider than the grid, some sheets would be blank. The tool leaves them out, and the preview shows which sheets are printed.
What does the dashed line mean
It marks where the next sheet's edge goes. The strip between the dashed line and the edge of the printed area is the overlap you glue.
What paper should I use
Plain paper works. Thicker matte paper of 100 to 120 g per square meter wrinkles less when glued.
