Print a Poster on 9 Pages
Spread one picture over nine sheets in a 3 by 3 grid. On A4 the poster reaches 56.2 x 82.3 cm, close to an A1 sheet; on Letter 58 x 77 cm. Numbered sheets and crop marks keep the four seams straight.

How It Works
Choose a picture
A photo or any JPEG, PNG or WebP image. The bigger the picture, the sharper the poster.
Set the grid
Pick how many sheets go across and down. The preview shows each sheet and the final size in centimeters and inches.
Print and assemble
Create the PDF and print it at 100 percent scale. Sheets that would stay empty are left out.
When to Go Up to 3x3
Nine sheets give a wall poster: a large photo, a world map, a timeline for a classroom. The middle sheet touches four neighbors, so lay everything out by number before you cut, then join each row and finally the three rows.
For 150 dots per inch on 3x3 A4 the picture needs about 4,860 pixels on its long side. A 12 megapixel phone photo gives around 137 dots per inch here: sharp from a step away, softer up close.
| Overlap | A4 | Letter |
|---|---|---|
| None | 58.2 x 84.3 | 60 x 79 |
| 5 mm | 57.2 x 83.3 | 59 x 78 |
| 10 mm | 56.2 x 82.3 | 58 x 77 |
Calculated by this tool: 8 mm margin on every sheet, 10 mm overlap. The picture keeps its proportions, so one side usually comes out shorter.
